Job Summary:
Assists the surgeon, the registered nurse, and the anesthesiologist in the care of patients in the Operating Room and/or Birthing Room.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Clinical rotations provided by surgical technologist program is required. Formal externship or 1 year experience is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education, certification or diploma required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
