MultiCare Capital Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Tech OB to assist during C-sections and prepare the surgical suite. You will also clean and sterilize instruments and ensure labor and delivery rooms are stocked, while supporting Labor and Delivery nurses as needed.
The ideal candidate has Surgical Technologist registration and a current BLS certification, with at least one year of OB or OR experience preferred, in a night shift landscape with 12-hour shifts.

The Surgical Tech OB is responsible for assisting the surgeon during C-sections and ensures the surgical suite is adequately prepared for C-sections. In addition the Surgical Tech – OB cleans, wraps and sends all instruments to Central Service for sterilization, ensures labor and delivery rooms are adequately stocked and prepared, and assists Labor and Delivery nurses as needed. Work situations are primarily routine, but may change rapidly to an emergent or critical situation.
This position requires a service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills for the purpose of supporting the delivery of care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups. Independent decision-making is expected in the execution of daily routine duties.
