The Nemours Foundation is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Surgery Center, Malvern. This role involves facilitating surgical procedures, adhering to safety and sterility protocols, and working collaboratively with surgical teams across multiple facilities.
Qualified candidates must hold a high school diploma, complete a Surgical Technologist Program, and possess BLS certification. Full-time hours are scheduled from Wednesday to Friday, with no weekends or holidays required.
The surgical technologist facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment, while maintaining the sterile field and anticipating and responding to the needs of the surgical team.
This primary position at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Surgery Center, Malvern will include collaboration with the Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware and Nemours Children’s Hospital, Surgery Center, Deptford to optimize available resources in achieving optimal patient outcomes. This position may require periodic rotation to these facilities. Travel is compensated based on organizational policy.
This position is expected to maintain all state and federal clearances for PA, DE, and NJ for periodic rotation to the facilities in Delaware and New Jersey at the discretion of Perioperative Leadership. This includes current Pennsylvania (PA) FBI Fingerprint Report, PA Criminal Background Record, and PA Child Abuse Clearance.
This position requires working shifts aligned with the needs of the department and the assigned FTE of the surgical technologist.
