Sightpath Medical is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support ophthalmic surgeries across multiple facilities within an assigned territory. You will travel with a company-provided vehicle to facilities, set up equipment, and maintain sterile technique while collaborating with surgeons and teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Surgical Technology degree with NBSTSA certification and are adaptable to travel, with strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with surgical tech degree; NBSTSA certification preferred.
• Comfortable with travel and overnight stays; company covers travel expenses.
• Strong communication skills to work with surgeons and teams.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage equipment and admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Travel to multiple facilities within assigned territory to support ophthalmic surgeries.
• Set up and maintain sterile technique and equipment for procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and staff to ensure smooth OR operations.
• Maintain documentation and assist with administrative tasks related to travel.

Who We're Looking For:

• Certified Surgical Technologist: Must hold a degree in Surgical Technology and be certified or eligible to be certified through the NBSTSA. Certification through the NCCT may be acceptable depending on territory assigned.
• Adaptable and Travel-Ready: Comfortable with driving to various locations in assigned territory and staying overnight when needed. All travel expenses are covered (hotel stays, gas for company vehicle, and meal allowances while traveling).
• Excellent Communicator: Able to build strong relationships quickly with surgeons and their teams.
• Self-assured: Able to thrive in high-pressure environments with confidence and professionalism.
• Organized and Detail-Oriented: Skilled at managing equipment and completing administrative tasks required to support assigned territory.
• Operating Room Experience: Ophthalmic experience is a plus, but not required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)/driving record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills - will utilize a company iPhone and iPad.
• Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with medical staff.
