Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to support surgeons and the operating room team by preparing procedure rooms, instruments, and supplies while maintaining sterile technique.

You will anticipate procedural needs, assist with patient positioning, and provide perioperative care before, during, and after surgery, including cardiothoracic cases, while upholding infection control and teamwork in a fast-paced OR.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Perioperative assistance and ability to support complex procedures.
• Ability to function reliably in a busy operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring correct setup, handling, cleaning, and basic maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment
• Supporting cardiothoracic procedures
• Coordinating and preparing supplies to maintain workflow in a fast-paced surgical center
• Maintaining sterility and following infection control practices
• Working effectively with the surgical team to ensure safe patient care across all age groups
