Vassar Brothers Medical Center is seeking a Scrub Nurse to assist with surgical care for a diverse patient population. You will function in the scrub role, supporting the nursing team during perioperative procedures and ensuring sterile technique.
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 1 year of OR experience, and certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST). This is an on-site position with standard perioperative duties and patient safety responsibilities.
Assumes responsibility and accountability for functioning as the scrub nurse in assisting with the nursing care activities and surgical services provided to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care department.

Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One year of previous medical/surgical and/or Operating Room experience.
License: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required through a nationally accredited educational program, such as National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical
Assisting (NBSTSA).
Hourly: $37.65-$51.11
