Job Description
Under the supervision of a seasoned Surgical Technician or Scrub Nurse, the Surgical Technologist Extern follows established procedural guidelines in preparing sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures. The role involves performing appropriate room duties related to direct patient care and functioning as a member of the operating room team. Demonstrates knowledge and skills required to provide care and/or service appropriate to the developmental level of patients, considering the needs of patients' families.
Additional Job Description
Education: High School diploma or GED required. Also currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
Licenses/Certificates: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with the American Heart Association (AHA).
