Job summary

Surgery Partners in Atlanta, GA seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will prepare and maintain equipment, set up instruments and drapes, and assist surgeons during procedures. The role emphasizes sterile technique and teamwork in a fast-paced OR.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, instrument handling, and helping the team with counts and specimens. No nights, weekends, or on-call shifts are required in this position.

Qualifications

• Must be certified to perform CPR or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum one year experience in interventional radiology, cardiac cath lab, or vascular preferred.
• Knowledge of over the wire experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up instruments, drapes, and solutions for operations.
• Prepare patient's skin and incision sites pre-operation.
• Assemble equipment and ensure proper functioning.
• Transport and position patients for surgery.
• Assist in gowns, gloves, and counting supplies.
• Operate sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and diagnostic equipment.
• Post-operation transfer to recovery and restock OR.
