Job summary

• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assists in prepping room for the next patient.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Facilitates physician's performance of invasive and therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly monitoring the maintenance of the sterile field.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience: Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology: RequiredRelevant acute care experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certified: PreferredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Preferred
