Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Surgical Technologist opportunity is a full-time role based in Winston-Salem, NC. You will work days in the Operating Room within the Cardiothoracic Service Line, supporting the RN and surgical team to ensure sterile, safe procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing the OR, maintaining aseptic technique, and coordinating instruments while contributing to patient safety. Requirements include graduation from a Surgical Technology program and BCLS certification,

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Preferred: Certification in specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Support direct patient care in the Operating Room under RN supervision.
• Prepare the OR pre- and post-surgery, arrange sterile instruments and maintain aseptic techniques.
• Demonstrate cost-containment practices concerning instruments and inventory.
• Communicate effectively with the team, patients, and caregivers to support safe, high-quality care.
