Job summary

University Hospitals Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to maintain sterile conditions, anticipate the needs of the surgical team, and ensure instruments and supplies are ready for procedures.

The role supports the operative team, assists with duties on the sterile field, labels medications, and participates in quality improvement while safeguarding patient PHI.

This position emphasizes learning and professional growth through annual trainings and adherence to UH policies.

• Provide safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
• Provide patient care/function in a primary scrub position.
• Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures.
• Assure appropriate instruments/supplies are present and in proper working condition.
• Provide labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field.
• Support the operative team, includes following patient care hand off protocol.
• Actively participate in the quality improvement process.
• Involved in learning and self-improvement.

What You Will Do
