HCA Florida University Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will prepare the surgical suite, assist during operations, and collaborate with a highly skilled team to deliver safe, high-quality care for patients.

The position emphasizes sterile technique, instrument handling, and on-call availability to meet the demands of a fast-paced surgical schedule. You will work closely with anesthesia and surgeons to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Lifesaving patient care requires proficiency as a surgical technologist.
• Competence in sterile technique and instrument handling is required.
• Must be able to meet on-call requirements and have BLS prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and equipment for safe, seamless procedures.
• Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments and handling specimens.
• Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures and responding to concerns promptly.
• Upholding sterile technique, turnover, and supporting a collaborative team environment.
