The University of Iowa Health Care department of Nursing is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist with surgical procedures and the preparation, operation and maintenance of instruments and supplies under the direction of a registered nurse. This 90% D/E/N position is based in the Labor & Delivery Unit at the John Pappajohn Pavilion.
Minimum eligibility includes completion of a vocational or military course in surgical technology, or certification as a Surgical Technologist.
Qualified candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus of $5,000!
The University of Iowa Health Care department of Nursing is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assists with surgical procedures; provision of therapeutic, preventive and emergency patient care duties; and preparation, operation and maintenance of routine and complex equipment, instruments and supplies. All duties are done under the direction of a registered professional nurse.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Percent of Time: 90%
Schedule: 90% D/E/N 8- and 12-hour shifts. Weekends as needed, Holidays as assigned. NO on-call
Location: John Pappajohn Pavilion (JPP)
Rotations: Holidays assigned

Pay Differentials: Shift differentials for evening and night.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Satisfactory completion of a vocational or military course in surgical technology, or certification as a Surgical Technologist.
