Job summary

Community Medical Centers in Clovis, CA is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. The role involves preparing patients and surgical fields, scrubbing for cases, and handling instruments and supplies throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or IEP Certificate is required.
• Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technology Program is required.
• BLS – Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is required.
• CST – Certified Surgical Technologist is required.
• TS-C – Tech in Surgery - Certified is required.

Responsibilities

• Gather and prepare instruments, equipment, medications and supplies for each case according to doctors' preference cards.
• Establish and maintain sterile field and surgical aseptic technique.
• Assist in transporting and preparing the patient for surgical procedure (shaving, positioning and draping).
• Perform first scrub functions and procedures in the majority of surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgeon and surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, medications and/or supplies as appropriate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required

• Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technology Program required

• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• One of the following is required:
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist
  • TS-C - Tech in Surgery - Certified
