Job summary

United Surgical Partners International's Timonium Surgery Center seeks a Part Time Surgical Scrub Technologist to join our ambulatory team. The role performs scrub duties, maintains sterile fields, and supports the surgical team to ensure safe patient care.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and strong communication with physicians and staff. A valid Surgical Technician program completion and state certification are required or as applicable by the center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program or equivalent.
• State or center certification as required.
• Experience in ambulatory surgical centers preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and patient management.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures as part of the sterile team.
• Maintains sterile field and prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to ensure patient safety.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.

Part Time Surgical Scrub Technologist at Timonium Surgery Center

Job Responsibilities

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures, demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team, maintains a sterile field, prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures, supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center, and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians.

Pay Range

$26.27 - $38.09/hour. Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
