About the Role

As our Surgical Technologist, you will be an essential member of the operating room team, helping ensure every procedure is safe, efficient, organized, and prepared to the highest standard.

You’ll work closely with our surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and surgical team throughout the entire operative process—from preparing the OR and anticipating the surgeon’s needs to maintaining sterile technique and supporting efficient room turnover.

This position is ideal for an experienced Surgical Technologist who is proactive, highly organized, calm under pressure, and takes pride in staying one step ahead in the OR.

Surgical Support
  • Prepare operating rooms, surgical trays, instruments, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures.
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical cases.
  • Anticipate surgeons’ needs and provide instruments and supplies efficiently throughout procedures.
  • Assist surgeons during procedures and with wound closure when requested and within scope.
  • Prepare rooms and pull required supplies in advance of scheduled cases.
  • Inspect surgical instruments for defects and coordinate sharpening or maintenance when necessary.
  • Test equipment before and after procedures to ensure proper operation.
  • Assist with the preparation, handling, and aftercare of surgical equipment and supplies.
OR Readiness & Inventory
  • Monitor operating room inventory and ensure equipment and supplies are appropriately stocked.
  • Identify and report inventory deficiencies before they impact surgical operations.
  • Clean, sterilize, and properly store instruments while maintaining required sterilization logs.
  • Restock operating rooms according to established standards.
  • Clean and reset rooms between procedures and following completion of the surgical schedule.
Safety & Compliance
  • Complete sharps and sponge counts alongside the Circulating Nurse and immediately report discrepancies.
  • Properly dispose of medical waste and sharps according to established protocols.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement initiatives.
  • Complete required OSHA, bloodborne pathogen, emergency preparedness, and MH Code Blue training.
  • Maintain familiarity with emergency equipment, including the crash cart and AED.
  • Consistently follow infection-control, aseptic, and patient-safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of Surgical Technologist experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, sterile technique, and aseptic practices
Schedule

This is a full-time, onsite position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday.
