Job summary

The U.S. Air Force seeks Surgical Services Specialists to support surgeons and care teams in the operating room.

Responsibilities include anesthesia assistance, preparing the surgical area, sterilization, and coordinating diagnostic orders to ensure smooth procedures. Qualifications

  • You must be 17-42 years of age, a U.S. citizen and obtain a qualifying ASVAB score.
  • High School Students may start their application as early as the end of their junior year.
  • Applicants who are non-graduates or non-alternate credential holders must obtain an AFQT Test score of 65 or higher on the ASVAB

Job description

It takes a team of professionals to ensure that our Airmen and their families get surgical care when they need it. Responsible for assisting surgeons during operations, Surgical Service specialists ensure that every procedure goes as smoothly as possible. These professionals play an integral role on any healthcare team and perform a wide range of critical tasks, from sterilizing tools and prepping the operating room to helping with anesthesia and assisting with patient care.

REQUIREMENTS

You must meet several requirements before joining the Air Force. These concern your background, overall health and other standards set by the Air Force, Department of Defense and federal law.

You must be 17-42 years of age, a U.S. citizen and obtain a qualifying ASVAB score.
