Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. and Orlando Ophthalmology Surgery Center are seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery team in Orlando, FL.

You will scrub for procedures, maintain sterile fields, prepare supplies and equipment, and support quality improvement initiatives in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, completion of a surgical technician program, state center certification, and two years of scrub tech experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certification as required by state and/or center
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Responsibilities

Surgical Technologist at Orlando Ophthalmology Surgery Center

Education And/or Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Scrub Technician Program. Certification preferable.
  • Two years experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Other skills and abilities: General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and surgical procedures for an operating room.
