Job summary

NurseDeck Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.

You will assist physicians with preparation and scrub responsibilities during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedure efficiency. Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of OR experience preferred, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certification by an entity accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies within 12 months of training.

Responsibilities

• Care for surgical patients under RN guidance.
• Assist physician with preparation and scrub responsibilities during procedures.
• Perform routine technical duties as required.

Job description

The Surgical Technician, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, is responsible for the care and safety of surgical patients who come under his /her care. The Surgical Technician is responsible for assisting the physician with the preparation of and the technical aspects of the role of the scrub person during surgical procedures. Performs routine technical and various other duties as required.

Skills/Abilities:

• Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work with detailed, confidential material, computer experience required. Ability to follow directions and work with precision under pressure. Maintains sensitivity, maturity, and flexibility in coping with difficult situations.

Education:

• High School Graduate or equivalent education.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certification by an entity accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies required (must be obtained within 12 months of completing the training program).

License/Certification:

• Maintenance of current BLS certification.

EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 years of Operating Room experience preferred.
