Job summary

VBeyond Healthcare in Beckley, WV is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team on a full-time, day-shift schedule. You will support surgical procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and prepare the OR for safe patient care, collaborating with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia professionals.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of surgical experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, BCLS certification, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• State Registered Nursing Assistant (SRNA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification preferred.
• Three to four years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the sterile field while adhering to infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Anticipate surgeons' needs and provide instruments and supplies efficiently during surgical cases.
• Perform accurate surgical counts and maintain organization throughout procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping within the scope of practice.
• Handle surgical specimens and supplies according to established protocols.
• Clean, organize, and prepare operating rooms between cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia professionals, and other perioperative team members.
• Respond promptly to changing patient and procedural needs while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team in Beckley, WV. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who values teamwork, patient safety, and excellence in surgical care.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play an essential role in supporting surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring the operating room is prepared for safe and efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule and On-Call Requirements

• Full-time, Monday–Friday day shift.
• One on-call night per week after the regular shift.
• One on-call weekend per month.
• Must be able to remain within 30 minutes of the facility during on-call hours.
