Job summary

Towson Surgical Center, LLC is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician to join our operating room team in Towson, Maryland. This full-time role supports surgeons, nurses, and other health professionals before, during, and after procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and assisting with instrument preparation and handling.

Responsibilities include setting up rooms, passing instruments, maintaining sterility, and collaborating to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• BLS certification required; CST preferred or required depending on state regulations.
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Set up surgical tables and ensure tools are available and functioning.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our operating room team. The Surgical Technician plays a critical role in supporting surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals before, during, and after surgical procedures. This position ensures a sterile environment, prepares surgical instruments, and assists in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Set up surgical tables and ensure all tools are available and functioning
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
• Monitor and track surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies during procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to remain calm under pressure

• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist during procedures
