Crawford County Memorial Hospital is seeking a qualified Surgical Technician/Scrub Registered Nurse/Surgery Nurse for PRN/Full-Time support in the operating room. The ideal candidate will assist physicians and the care team in perioperative care, ensure sterile technique, and maintain equipment and records.

Requirements include graduated Surgical Tech program (RN/LPN ok), BLS, and 1–2 years surgical experience; CNA with sterile technique may be considered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist program; RN/LPN may function as scrub nurse.
• BLS certification is required.
• 1–2 years of recent experience in a surgical setting (scrub tech or RN/LPN).
• Two years as CNA with excellent sterile technique will be considered.

Responsabilités

• Assist RN in planning patient care peri-operatively.
• Document patient care on peri-operative records.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Maintain equipment and environment in the OR according to policies.
• Communicate patient information to the manager and ensure proper charging for supplies.

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Prefer graduate of accredited Surgical Technologists program (RN’s and LPN’s are able to function as a scrub nurse with the same orientation as a scrub tech)
• BLS

Experience Requirements (mandatory and preferred):

• Ability to care for all patient populations
• One to two years recent experience in a surgical setting – scrub tech, RN, LPN
• Two years as CNA who exhibits excellent knowledge of sterile technique will be considered
