Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams as a scrub tech. The role involves assisting in procedures under the direction of surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff, while helping maintain a sterile, safe environment for patients.

Required CST and BLS certifications; 0–2 years of related clinical experience may be considered. This position includes standard OR duties and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current CST certification required by state regulations.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 0–2 years of related clinical experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures under supervision of surgeons and nurses.
• Help maintain a safe, sterile environment before, during, and after procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure patient care and efficiency in the operating room.

General Summary of Duties

Surgical Technologists, also known as Scrub Technologists , Surgical Technicians , or Operating Room Technicians , assist in surgical procedures under the direction and supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel.

As a vital member of the operating room team, the Surgical Technologist helps ensure a safe, efficient, and sterile environment before, during, and after surgical procedures. Operating room teams commonly include surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, registered nurses, and surgical technologists working collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care.

Education, Experience & Requirements

Required

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification, as required by state regulations.
  • Individuals who qualify under applicable state grandfathering provisions may be exempt from certification requirements.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred

• Candidates with zero (0) to two (2) years of related clinical experience may be considered.
