Birmingham-Surgery-Center in Homewood, AL is seeking an Operating/Procedure Room Technician to assist physicians with instrument handling during surgical interventions. The role includes monitoring PAR levels and ensuring instruments are cleaned and sterilized.
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will participate in staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and you should have strong English communication and teamwork skills. Certifications are preferred.
An Operating/Procedure Room Technician performs technical responsibilities relative to assisting physicians with the instrumentation of surgical intervention. Monitors PAR levels of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
