Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA is seeking a Surgical Technician for a full-time Day shift. You will scrub in for procedures, prep operating rooms, and support the surgical team while maintaining aseptic technique.

Requirements include 2 years of scrub experience in at least one advanced specialty (cardiovascular or orthopedics) and certifications to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• National Certified Surgical Technologist credential required upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification required upon hire.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

• Scrub in for surgery and prepare operating rooms using appropriate techniques.
• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures and provide active coverage on breaks as needed.
• Maintain aseptic technique and assist in cleaning and preparing the room between procedures.
• Provide technical services and support in the operating room as directed.

Performs a variety of technical duties to scrub in surgery. Prepares operating rooms for surgery, using appropriate techniques. The Surgical Technologist performs specific duties while covering for Surgical Tech on break which include but are not limited to: provide active coverage, continue assisting surgeon during operation within the surgical technologist scope of practice, prepares rooms, assists the surgical team during operative procedures, assists in cleaning and preparing the room between procedures, maintains aseptic technique. Provides technical services and assists in operating room as assigned and directed.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
