Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Davie Medical Center - Administration: Surgery. You will prepare and stock operating rooms, assemble sterile instrument fields, and support the surgical team under RN supervision.

The role requires graduation from a Surgical Technology program and BCLS certification; specialty area certification is preferred. You will work four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 0630–1700, with a total of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN.
• Ensures complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers and patients in an effective, positive and professional manner.
• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development.
• Demonstrates cost containment activities of instruments and inventory.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a Surgical Technology program. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
