Baptist Surgery Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. This role reports to physicians and/or registered nurses, and requires graduation from an accredited technologist program with certification and BLS, plus at least two years of OR experience.
The technologist will prepare equipment, set up sterile fields, maintain regulatory compliance, assist with patient preparation and transfer, pass instruments, and help with counts, specimens, and sterilization tasks

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Surgical technologists, also called scrubs and surgical or operating room technicians, assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. Surgical technologists are members of operating room teams, which most commonly include surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating nurses.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Occasional evening and/ or weekend work.
