HUMBLE VASCULAR SURGICAL CENTER INC is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams. The role involves preparing and maintaining instruments, setting up sterile fields, and assisting surgeons and nurses during procedures.
Requires an accredited program graduate and BLS certification, with at least two years of OR experience. Responsibilities include patient preparation, draping, instrument handling, counts, specimen assistance, and post‑procedure room turnover.
Surgical Technologist
Physician and/or Registered Nurse
Surgical technologists, also called scrubs and operating room technicians, assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. They are members of operating room teams, typically including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating nurses.
Surgical technologists work in clean, well‑lit, well‑ventilated environments. They must stand for long periods and remain alert during operations. Exposure to communicable diseases and unpleasant sights, odors, and materials may occur.
Occasional evening and/or weekend work.
