The OB Surgical Technician assists the surgical team during obstetrical procedures, including cesarean sections and other gynecological surgeries, by preparing and maintaining the sterile field, passing instruments, and ensuring surgical equipment is available and functioning properly.
They also assist with routine patient care activities under the supervision of nurses and physicians in the labor and delivery unit.
