Job summary

Clinch Valley Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Surgical Technician in Richlands, VA. This full-time, in-person position supports the safe operation of surgical procedures and patient care, with a day shift schedule and hourly compensation.

The role requires high school completion (preferred) and surgical technology training, with 6 months of prior experience recommended. BCLS certification is a plus and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Graduate of a surgical technology program preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility.
• Certifications: None required; BCLS preferred.

Position Summary

The Surgical Technician will facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Essential Functions Additional Information

• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
• Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
• Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Additional Requirements Include

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Graduate of a surgical technology program preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility.
• Certifications: None required; BCLS preferred.
