Job summary

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a Surgical Technician to prepare the operating room and assist the surgical team in a variety of procedures. You will ensure a sterile environment and support the OR team to contribute to patient healing.

Responsibilities include preparing instruments and equipment, assisting during procedures, and orienting new staff as needed. Sign-on bonus and education assistance are offered for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or the equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current Surgical Tech certification required.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the operating room and surgical team for a variety of procedures.
• Set up surgical equipment and instruments and assist the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adapt quickly within the OR team.
• Assist in orienting new personnel and associates according to experience level.
• Prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment required for procedures.
• Identify and handle medications on the sterile field under RN direction.

Education
