Job summary

Self Medical Group is seeking a part-time Surgical Tech III for their Operating Room Resource Pool in Greenwood, SC. This position requires a graduate of a Surgical Technician program and a minimum of ten years of OR experience. Certification by the NBSTSA is mandatory, or appropriate military training for surgical technology.

The Surgical Tech III will be responsible for assisting in surgical operations, maintaining sterile environments, and ensuring that all necessary surgical instruments and supplies are prepared and ready for use. BLS certification is also required.

Qualifications

• Must have ten (10) or more years of OR experience.
• Certification administered by the NBSTSA or appropriate military training.
• Evidence of employment to practice surgical technology in SC if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical operations within the operating room.
• Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and supplies.

Special Qualifications

Must be a graduate of a program for Surgical Technicians and hold Certification administered by the NBSTSA or complete an appropriate military training program for surgical technology or provide evidence of employment to practice surgical technology in a health care facility in SC prior to 1/1/2008 or is in the service of the federal government, to the extent the person is performing duties related to that service. Ten (10) or more years OR experience required. BLS certified.
