The Surgical Tech II assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department and hospital to assure quality patient care.

Education

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• High School or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience.
• Completion of a formal accredited Operating Room Technician program.

Certification & Licensure

• BLS‑Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
• CST‑Certified Surgical Technologist.

Preferred Experience

• Two (2) years of scrubbing experience.

Skills and Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies.
• Requires communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
