Qualifications

• Must be certified as Surgical Technologist by NBSTA/JCAHPO/NCCT.
• Education completed at a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited program.
• BLS required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the surgeon and surgical team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Acquire the knowledge, judgement, and skills specific to the expanded role of Scrub Tech First Assistant.
• Maintain aseptic practices and provide equipment and supplies based on patient and surgeon needs.
• Intraoperatively, perform duties under the direction of the surgeon.
