Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Surgical Tech to support physicians during invasive procedures in a sterile operating room environment. You will manage instruments, supplies, and equipment to maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure and ensure quality patient care.

The role requires assisting with setup, instrument passes, and counts, while preparing dressings and facilitating room turnover after procedures. Certification in CST or TS-C is required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in surgical technology is required.
• Relevant acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies surgery to be performed with consent forms and brings patient to assigned operating room.
• Passes instruments to surgeon during procedure and anticipates surgeon's needs for additional supplies.
• Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed.
• Checks supplies and equipment, sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies and medications, and helps drape sterile field.
• Prepares and secures sterile dressings after incision closure.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization and assists with room turnover.

Job Summary

Facilitates physician's performance of invasive and therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly monitoring the maintenance of the sterile field.

Education & Experience

• Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology: Required
• Relevant acute care experience: Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified Surgery Technician (CST) certification or Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) certification: Required
• National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certified: Required
