The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the surgical environment is safe, sterile, and well-organized, facilitating efficient and successful operations. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are available and functioning properly. - Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during operations, anticipating the needs of the surgeon and other team members. - Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and adherence to protocols and procedures. - Perform pre-operative and post-operative duties, including sterilizing equipment and maintaining inventory of surgical supplies. - Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulations related to surgical operations. - Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in surgical technology and techniques. - Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless operation of the surgical suite.## QualificationsRequired Education: - Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent.
