Job summary

As an Operating Room Technician, you prepare the operating room and instruments, maintain sterility, assist during procedures and monitor the patient and equipment

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent experience in the OR or related care area.
• Active license in any US state or appropriate accreditation.
• Additional facility/unit requirements may apply.
• Enthusiastic, adventurous spirit and patient-first mindset.

Job description

As an Operating Room Technician, also sometimes called Surgical Technologists, you are an important part of the operating room team. OR Techs prepare the operating room, instruments, supplies, and you must be able to confidently ensure the sterility of the equipment and environment. Other typical OR Tech job duties include assisting during the procedure, monitoring the patient, and carefully monitoring supplies and tools used.

Basic travel nursing requirements include:

• 1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
• Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
• Additional requirements & certifications as may be requested by the specificfacility/unit
• An enthusiastic, adventurous spirit with a desire to help
