Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles seeks an Operating Room Tech to prepare sterile supplies and instruments, maintaining a sterile field and supplying the surgeon during procedures. Per diem role in a busy surgical suite with diverse cases.

Candidates should have an ORT training background or 3+ years of surgical experience, scrubbing across general and specialty areas, and current BLS certification. High school diploma required, with strong attention to sterile technique.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with 3+ years experience in surgical setting preferred.
• Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty areas (ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.

• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency

St. Francis Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $34.22. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
