Baylor Medical Center Frisco is seeking an experienced Surgical Tech for our Main OR in Frisco, Texas. The Surgical Technologist will scrub for procedures, maintain a sterile field, and support the surgical team throughout the case, ensuring patient safety and efficient workflow in a busy ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.
