Responsibilities

• Clean surfaces and equipment in OR. Decontaminate after surgery and as needed by team. Dispose of hospital waste safely.
• Transport patients, lab samples, and supplies as part of the role; execute various related tasks.
• Manage inventory by monitoring levels, restocking supplies, and ordering as needed; maintain supplies across areas.
• Check supplies for surgeries; audit case carts based on doctor preferences and restock as needed.
• Support clinicians inside and outside the operating room; open sterile supplies for procedures under supervision.
• Surgical prep includes checking instrument sets and selecting supplies for cases; perform flash sterilization tests.
• Respond to emergencies by following procedures; complete on-call duties quickly; act as a surgical team resource.
• Staff hired before Sept 1, 2009 may hold retractors during surgery; no program completion required.

• You will react to emergencies. Follow procedures and guidelines in place. Complete on-call duties quickly. Act as surgical team resource.
• Staff hired before September 1, 2009, as surgical support techs may hold retractors during surgery. No program completion required.
