Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of standards in disinfection, cleaning, processing and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Promotes clean and safe working environment through proper transport and disposal of biohazard items.
• Utilizes effective communication with all departments to ensure transfer of information and supplies for patient care.
• Maintains delivery of patient care through identification and delivery of supplies.
• Demonstrates safe operation of equipment via daily testing and verification processes.
• Identifies flow of daily schedules to anticipate needs across the hospital.
• Demonstrates proper body mechanics when handling equipment and during transport throughout the hospital.
• Identifies flow of daily schedules to anticipate needs of each procedure area.
