Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Surgical Stepdown unit. In this role, you will provide complex post-surgical care, closely monitor vital signs and telemetry, administer medications, and manage wounds and drains.

You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and support safe discharge. Mercy offers ongoing clinical education and advancement opportunities within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Oklahoma.
• Experience in surgical stepdown or similar acute care units preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certification required or eligible.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-surgical care and monitoring.
• Manage wounds and drains, administer meds as ordered.
• Monitor vitals and telemetry; respond to changes.
• Educate patients and families; support safe discharge.
