Job summary

Reston Hospital Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses with hands-on care and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for patients. You will assist with vital signs, mobility, and personal care while helping monitor conditions and carry out care plans.

Your role involves comforting patients, coordinating with families and the care team to uphold our standards of safety, compassion, and quality of care in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Healthcare experience from a hospital setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
