Job summary

San Dimas Community Hospital in San Dimas, California is seeking a Director of Surgical Services to provide executive leadership and operational oversight for the department.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, CNOR preferred, BSN as of 2021, and at least two years of supervisory experience; you will partner with physicians and nursing leadership to drive patient safety and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• BSN required for all new hires after 1/11/2021.
• CNOR (AORN) certificate upon hire, preferred.
• PALS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum two years supervisory/management experience.
• At least two years of experience in Surgical Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Directs patient care in the operative environment.
• Manages staff in Ambulatory Surgery, Surgery and PACU.
• Consults with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on nursing issues.
• Ensures adherence to hospital policies and patient needs.
• Maintains performance improvement activities and participates in PI/budget.
