Job summary

Midland-Marvel Recruiters, LLC presents a community hospital system seeking a Surgical Services Director to oversee OR operations, staffing, budgeting, and strategy. The role reports to the Hospital COO and includes relocation support.

You will lead 13 ORs and 2 CVORs, manage 650–700 cases per month, and advance patient-centered care through accountable leadership, policy development, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of acute care Director of Surgical Services experience required or equivalent OR managerial background.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the unit(s)/department(s) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Forecast, plan, and monitor budgets for surgical services.
• Foster accountability and collaboration and implement strategies, policies, and procedures.

Ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit(s)/department(s) in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. Fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.

Additional Information:

• 650-700 cases/month

Reporting Structure:

• Director reports into Hospital COO

• 2 + years of Recent Acute Care Director of Surgical Services Required. (would accept several years of OR Manager experience in a large trauma center)
