Job summary

Regionalhand in Fresno, CA, seeks a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons with sterile instruments and supplies throughout surgery. Under the daily charge RN, you scrub in cases, stock rooms, and assist with room turnover and equipment maintenance.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a recognized Surgical Technician program, and at least 2 years of ASC experience, plus current BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technician program.
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technician experience, preferably in an ASC.
• Current BLS certification.
• Dexterity and reliability required.
• Strong attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operative processes under the direction of the assigned charge RN.
• Scrub in multiple case types and provide sterile instruments and supplies throughout surgery.
• Turnover between cases, stock rooms and carts, and coordinate with materials management.
• Maintain equipment and communicate with pre/post-op and other departments.

Job description

Position Description:

Under direction of the daily assigned charge RN, assists in most aspects of the operative process. Exhibits detailed knowledge of surgical instruments and prescribed procedures to provide surgeons the appropriate sterile surgical instruments and supplies throughout the course of surgery. The OR Scrub Tech is responsible for scrubbing in types of cases during assigned schedule, room turnover between cases, stocking rooms and carts with communication to materials management, and equipment maintenance.

Collaborates fully with peers as it relates to creating a safe and effective work environment, culture of growth, and focus on excellent patient care. Acts as a resource by coordinating with multiple departments, scheduling, informing Clinical Director, pre and post-op departments.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED;

Graduation from a recognized Surgical Technician program

minimum 2 years surgical Technician experience preferably in an ASC

Current BLS

Good mental and physical dexterity

Excellent personal and moral character references

Demonstrated work ethic with adherence to attendance and punctuality

Great team player a must
