Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic in Langhorne, PA is seeking a Surgical Technician (OR Tech) to assist in nursing care within the OR team under RN supervision. You will apply sterile technique, scrub, pass instruments, and anticipate surgeon needs while supporting patient transfer and positioning.

The role emphasizes maintaining the sterile field, equipment upkeep, emergency response, and patient advocacy in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalency.
• Certified Surgical Technician.
• 1-2 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Applies scientific principles in adhering to sterile technique (gowning, gloving, draping etc.).
• Demonstrates proper scrubbing skills, handles, and passes instrumentation utilizing aseptic technique and can anticipate patient and surgeon needs.
• Assists in transfer and positioning of patients.
• Collaborates with circulating nurse in room preparation, selecting supplies, and equipment is organized fashion.
• Creates, maintains, and monitors the sterile field continuously.
• Takes responsibility for maintaining equipment and instrumentation in proper functional condition.
• Assess and responds appropriately in an emergency situation to prioritize and meets the patients' immediate needs.
• Acts as a patient advocate and protect the patient's rights through safe and ethical practice.
• Demonstrates safe, proper, and appropriate use of sterilizers.

• Applies scientific principles in adhering to sterile technique (gowning, gloving, draping etc.
• demonstrates proper scrubbing skills, handles, and passes instrumentation utilizing aseptic technique and can anticipate patient and surgeon needs.
• Assists in transfer and positioning of patients.
• Collaborates with circulating nurse in room preparation, selecting supplies, and equipment is organized fashion.
