Qualifications

CVT/RVT/LVMT license or associate degree in veterinary technology.
Strong communication and ability to handle stress.
Experience in surgery and anesthesia preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform patient examinations and auscultation of heart and lungs to determine normal/abnormal TPRs and QATS.
Communicate with clients and obtain medical histories and symptoms.
Conduct laboratory procedures including hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals.
Assist in diagnostic imaging and follow safety protocols for staff and patients.
Assist in surgery; maintain aseptic environment during procedures.
Monitor anesthesia and assist with endotracheal intubation.
Provide nursing care including administering medications and wound care.
Perform dental prophylaxis as part of patient care.
Demonstrate pharmacy/pharmacology knowledge for preparing and dispensing medications.
