Qualifications

• Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license required.
• Strong anesthesia administration and monitoring experience.
• Experience in veterinary surgery, anesthesia, Emergency, ICU, or specialty medicine preferred.
• Technical skills: venipuncture, IV catheter, medication calculations, CRIs, monitoring.
• Knowledge of surgical prep, aseptic technique, instrumentation, postoperative care.
• Excellent critical-thinking, math, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and client service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, surgical suites, equipment and instruments for advanced procedures.
• Induce, maintain, monitor, and recover patients under general anesthesia.
• Assist surgeons during specialty procedures while maintaining aseptic technique.
• Administer meds, fluids and CRIs as directed.
• Monitor vitals and anesthesia depth; communicate changes to the team.
• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care.
• Perform basic lab tests and assist with imaging as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and anesthesia documentation.
• Provide compassionate client education and postoperative guidance.
• participate in on-call or holiday coverage as needed.
