Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in systems engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of multidisciplinary systems engineering experience.
• Experience with Class II or Class III medical devices is preferred.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, firmware/software testing, and electromechanical systems.
• 5+ years of experience in surgical robotic systems or complex medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary systems engineering team responsible for system architecture and requirements.
• Own end-to-end requirements lifecycle with traceability from clinical needs to verification.
• Collaborate across hardware, software, controls, mechanical, clinical, and V&V teams.
• Lead system architecture for robotic systems integrating hardware, software, control algorithms, sensing, actuation, and user interaction.
• Drive ISO 14971 risk management and ensure safety and usability through design reviews.
• Own software subsystem requirements and use cases aligned with robotic performance.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 60601, IEC 62304, and ISO 14971.
• Interface with regulatory affairs, quality, manufacturing and clinical teams for audits and submissions.
• Communicate risks and opportunities to senior management with clear business impact.
